In the show world, a guinea pig is called a Cavy. Judges assess cavies based on things like conformation, coat quality, temperament, and how well they adhere to breed standards. Judges also include other factors such as cleanliness and grooming. Each breed has it own point system for each feature that is judged.

ARBA
The American Rabbit Breeders Association recognizes 13 breeds of cavies for the purpose of promoting the ethical breeding, showing and improvement of the cavy for exhibition, pet and research animal.

ACBA
The American Cavy Association promotes the breeding and improvement of the cavy, increase interest in the cavy as an exhibition and pet animal, as well as assist members with care, showing and marketing.
First, you will need A purebred Show Quality Cavy (or two!)
